Credit Union PIAS Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative chartered in 1961 and owned by over 3,500 members. With assets over $6 million, it is governed by seven volunteer directors that meet monthly and who are duly elected to serve 3 year terms while overseeing its operations. Its mission is to provide loans and other services at or below market rates while offering savings products at or above market rates. Since credit unions are not taxed, we can operate on a thinner spread than most other financial entities. One of our slogans is "Not for profit, not for charity, but for service." Another is "People Helping People," and we strive to live up to it every day. The staff and management of the credit union have over 50 years of combined experience in the financial services industry and are here to help you. There is a $25.00 membership deposit required to open an account at the credit union. This is not a fee and is returned to you if you ever close your account. As a benefit to PIAS-member companies, we offer products and services such as auto loans, personal loans (for provident and productive purposes), loans for recreational vehicles (ATVs, boats, motorcycles, etc.), share secured loans, payroll deduction/direct deposit/ACH, regular savings, share drafts (checking), share certificates (CDs), free notary service, financial counseling, VISA credit cards, e-mail and a Web site. New services on the horizon include home mortgages, ATMs, debit cards and audio response. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30a - 4:30p Central time.
