Legislative Awareness

PIAS tackles strong issues first by building and maintaining a strong association membership.  "Strength through numbers" has brought PIAS to the forefront as a major industry voice heard by the government.  PIAS maintains an active involvement in legislation of the seven-state region, as well as in general relationships between government and the commercial printing industry.  PIAS also monitors legislation at the national level and keeps members informed on findings.

Environmental issues, free enterprise, insurance and strike issues are all areas PIAS lobbyists survey continually.  In virtually every session of the legislation, there are scores of matters which have an impact upon commercial printing.  The Printing Industry of America in Washington D.C. monitors these matters, gives input where appropriate and seeks to assure that the interests and point of view of the industry are protected and advanced.
