About the Speaker:
Richard Moody joined the firm in 2010 to establish and manage the Applied Market Research Group. He became Regions’ Bank Chief Economist in July 2012, and in this role serves as Regions’ principal spokesperson on all economic issues. Mr. Moody frequently appears in print and broadcast media to share his views on the economy. Mr. Moody also serves on the Regions Asset Management Investment Working Group.
Prior to joining Regions, Mr. Moody was Chief Economist and Director of Research for Forward Capital. Additionally, he has served as Vice President and Senior Economist for PNC Financial Services Group, Senior Economist with Economy.com, Director of Economic Analysis at Metro Market Trends, Inc., and as a faculty member in the Department of Economics at James Madison University. Mr. Moody is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in corporate finance. He earned his doctorate in economics from Texas A&M University. Mr. Moody is a member of the National Association for Business Economics and is a past president of the Economics Club of Pittsburgh.
