Offset Pressman

$22.28 – $26.83 per hour

Patient Guide Solutions in Little Rock is growing, and we need a Pressman to support our very busy print production team.
About Us: Patient Guide Solutions partners with hospitals across the country to create printed patient guides. Our guides are given to patients at admission to help them understand their hospital stay and care for themselves after discharge.

Location and Hours: This is a full-time, on-site Pressman position located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Shift hours are 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour work days).

Job Description: This position reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our offset Ryobi RMGT 9 printing press to produce high-quality printed materials, with a focus on color consistency, quality control, and timely production.

Key Responsibilities:
• Machine Setup & Operation. Read job orders, load paper, mix inks, mount plates, and adjust ink flow rates.
• Production Monitoring: Start presses, run proofs to check for color accuracy, density, alignment, and registration, and make press adjustments during runs.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Clean and oil presses, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot printing issues, and make minor repairs.
• Quality Control: Inspect samples and finished products to ensure they meet job order specifications.
• Record Production Data: Maintain accurate time and production records.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety regulations and train junior staff, when needed.

Required Skills:
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of printing, machinery, and computer-controlled systems.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor flaws or inconsistencies in print quality.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
• Education: High school diploma or GED, technical school, or apprenticeship.
